Description:
The Service
Based at a designated area Housing Office you will be dealing with customers face to face and on the telephone, dealing with repairs enquiries, rent and general enquiries where you will offer a one stop service or pass on to the relevant member of staff or department.
What is the role?
You will raise the relevant works orders for the repairs and contact the contractors concerned. You will also be involved in cash handling on a daily basis. You will be responsible for your own garage and content insurance area and managing the tenancies. On occasion you will be expected to cover other Housing Offices as required.
Who is the person?
You need to:
1. Have had previous experience of dealing with members of the public face to face and on the telephone.
2. Have previous customer service skills.
3. Have good keyboard and IT skills as you will be inputting data on to a bespoke repairs database.
4. Have an understanding of the Systems Thinking principles.
5. Be able to work as part of a team to ensure a smooth delivery of the service and be flexible in being able to adapt to the changing needs of the team.
6. Have experience of dealing with people in sensitive situations that will require careful handling.
7. Be well organised and able to prioritise and manage your own workload.
8. Have an awareness and understanding of the Data Protection Policy as you will be dealing with confidential issues.
