What is the role?
The post forms part of a small finance team and is based at Portsmouth Continental Ferry Port. You will input data onto the Port's computerised finance system to raise purchase orders and to pay invoices, having first checked for financial accuracy and correct authorisation. You will also input data onto the Port's maintenance management system and ensure that accurate cost information is held for repairs and maintenance works carried out throughout the Port and any associated administrative tasks.
Who is the person?
You need:
1.Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
2.Be computer literate, with good keyboard skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Access and Word.
3.To be able to interpret written procedures and work instructions.
4.To be systematic, orderly and accurate.
5.To have good interpersonal skills and be able to relate to a wide range of people at all levels.
6.To have good communication skills both verbal and written.
7.To be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to meet target deadlines.
8.To have initiative and be able to develop the role further.
9.To be able to integrate with the rest of the section.
