Culture

In 2004 the council made the decision to completely restructure how the
services of the city were delivered. This move was vital if we were to become
an organisation that could adapt and react to the changing expectations and
demands of the city and its people.

Re-organised into 5 directorates, the new structure is delivering service that
will, to the customer, appear seamless.

Created to integrate services, which had common themes and purpose, each
directorate’s aim was and is to improve the efficiency of service delivery and
drive the changes that will make the city unrecognisable over the next
decade.
